KlimaPakt Lippe
On the way to achieving its sustainability goals, A. & H. Meyer GmbH benefits from the know-how and exchange of experience of regional networks. For example, it has joined the KlimaPakt Lippe, which was launched by the district of Lippe in 2015 and has since become the umbrella brand for local climate protection activities. The aim is to network companies and institutions with each other and thereby promote a transfer of knowledge in the area of climate protection.
Within the framework of the Climate Pact, the district of Lippe also supports companies from the region in their corporate environmental protection. To this end, it uses the ÖKOPROFIT project funded by the NRW Ministry of the Environment. The aim is to develop and implement practical measures with the participating companies to increase resource efficiency and reduce costs. The results of the first two ECOPROFIT rounds realised in Lippe are impressive: A total investment volume of all 19 companies certified so far of about 2 million euros was offset by annual savings of about 1.2 million euros in the end. Around 2.5 million kilowatt hours of energy, 2,500 tonnes of CO2, 5,000 cubic metres of water and 300 tonnes of waste were saved.
