On 1 April 1961, August Meyer founded a company in his home town, the tranquil village of Humfeld, which is now A. & H. Meyer GmbH. Started as a one-man business on the ground floor of his parents' house, today it is an internationally active specialist for electrification systems with more than 180 employees worldwide.
